In this case  we have to count it backwards :

JK AUTO fee is - $500
auction fees are about  - $450
shipping from nearest USA/CANADA border to Toronto  - $300
shipping from the  closest auto auction on the USA side to Canadian border -  $200USD

BROKERAGE AND DUTY on BMW based on the $4000 price is : $405

If you want a vehicle for$5500 + HST  you have to deduct charges listed above.

then looks like maximum price of the car on the auction must be about : $3645.00

OR

same car in toronto area for about : $4200 ( if you pickup yourself from auction )

 

You are looking for 2002 - 2003 M3 with damage in this case.
