YES WAX - waxing procedure

Thanks for your interest in YES.  The YES wax system is for the glide zones of both skate skis and classic skis. A wool buffer goes over the cork - the wax is rubbed on to the moving wool buffer. 

 

We are currently putting together a formalized waxing procedure (now that we have tested it for over a year). 

 

It will goes like this:

1. Clean the skis with glide wax cleaner - make sure base is clean and dry.

2. Brush skis out with a fine steel, copper or soft brass

3. Apply YES wax with buffer

4. Polish with buffer (see video on our homepage)

 

In warm conditions that is all. 

 

In cold conditions additional brushing is necessary with a stiff horse hair (back and forth) , then a fine nylon.
